A life-long yogini and meditator, Shazia started teaching yoga in 2005. With 700 hours of training in classical Hatha, Integrative Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, and Meditation, and E-RYT500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher who has taught at least 2000 hours of yoga), Shazia teaches classical Hatha yoga, restorative, gentle, yin, prenatal, therapeutic yoga and meditation with compassion, love and healing in a safe and nurturing environment. She loves to nurture people with physical limitations, size limitations, injuries, trauma, rehab, surgery recovery, seniors, pain management, or with other health challenges with therapeutic yoga that focuses on breath work (pranayama), gentle yoga, restorative yoga, yoga-nidra, mudra, meditation and healing. Her classes will take you to a deeper level of awareness and nurturing than just an asana class. No matter what the class size, she is able to modify poses and practices based on your individual needs.
Shazia is also an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic chef with 1000 hours training in Ayurveda, and author of “Alchemy of Ayurvedic Cookery”. Shazia offers Ayurvedic lifestyle and wellness counseling, teaches private as well as group Ayurvedic cooking classes, offers cooking consultations based on your unique constitution, life style, challenges and health issues.
